Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A professional opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide essential services within a K-12 school setting in North Port, FL. This contract role spans the full school year and focuses on supporting students with speech and language challenges through evaluation, treatment, and collaboration with educational teams. Responsibilities include: Conducting thorough evaluations of students exhibiting speech and language disorders Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's needs Delivering targeted therapy sessions to achieve specific speech and language goals Carefully monitoring and documenting student progress to inform ongoing care Collaborating collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive support Engaging families by educating and involving them in the therapeutic process Qualifications: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Current state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure in Florida Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred Experience working with pediatric and/or school-aged populations is preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team Active licensure approved by the State Board of Speech-Language Pathology in Florida This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative educational environment supporting student success and development.
