The Allen College Occupational Therapy program is seeking to hire an occupational therapy practitioner to serve as an adjunct faculty for the 2026 spring semester. Adjunct faculty are supervised by the Program Director/Chair or Dean.

In compliance with the Clery Act, Allen College publishes an Annual Security report containing three previous years of crime statistics, institutional policies concerning campus safety, and a fire safety report. • Participates with guidance in the development, coordination, implementation and evaluation of the individual course within the college curriculum.
• Promotes and maintains collaborative relationships between college and clinical agencies.
• Teaching: (with direction and guidance of administration or instructor of higher rank), including classroom preparation, instruction, supervision and evaluation.
• Provide a positive role model and professional attitude toward students and the teaching process.
• Maintains confidentiality in accord with college/program policy.

Education:

• A doctorate degree in occupational therapy from a regionally accredited institution is preferred; however, a masters or bachelors degree in occupational therapy may be considered per applicants expertise and clinical experience.

Licensure/Certification:

• Licensed as an occupational therapist in the state of Iowa.
• Valid drivers license in Iowa and means of transportation.

Minimum Experience:

• Prior teaching experience in occupational therapy is preferred but not required.
• A minimum of the equivalence of at least 3 years of full-time clinical experience in occupational therapy is required. At least three years of clinical experience in occupational therapy is preferred.
• Current clinical skills and demonstrated competency in practice.
