This position offers an opportunity to provide specialized speech-language pathology services within a K-12 educational setting, supporting students in middle and high school grades. The role emphasizes a dynamic and diverse caseload, requiring the delivery of direct and indirect therapy services, including teletherapy options, to meet individual student needs under the district's standard caseload model.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized speech-language therapy to students in grades 6-12, addressing a variety of diagnoses.
  • Provide services across two schools, requiring itinerant travel and time management to maximize service delivery.
  • Conduct both direct therapy and indirect activities, including documented administrative time and participation in paid team meetings.
  • Collaborate with educational and clinical teams to develop, implement, and modify Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Utilize teletherapy platforms as part of the instructional delivery method.
  • Adhere to district policies, maintaining compliance with licensing requirements and documentation standards.
  • Engage in virtual interviews and coordinate timely onboarding processes.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Hold a valid Speech-Language Pathology license for the state of Connecticut.
  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
  • Experience in healthcare, pediatric, school, and teletherapy settings strongly valued.
  • Candidates in the Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) are encouraged to apply.
  • Ability to manage a standard caseload effectively within a K-12 school environment.
