Physical Therapist - Acute

Under the direction of the Department Director and the Physical Therapy Supervisors, provides quality physical therapy services to patients through evaluation and administration of treatment to restore function and prevent disabilities. Physical Therapist to perform evaluations and treatments in an acute care setting. Clinical experience, either from a previous physical therapy role or student clinicals in an acute care setting, is indicated for consideration. New graduates are welcome to apply. The schedule will be either 5 days/ wk, 8-hour days or 4, 10-hour days. Scheduled days and hours will be determined at the time of hire, but needs are for coverage until 6 to 6:30 p.m. to support discharge readiness, particularly for our orthopedic patients who are same-day discharges (same day as surgery). Candidates who are efficient in time management, provide skilled evidence-based therapy services and thrive on the changing complexity of acute care while providing exceptional customer service are ideal for our team. Candidates will work 2 weekend days per month, including holiday weekends and at least 1 holiday per year minimum. SPECIAL SKILLS: Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. LICENSE/CERT: Required: PT (Physical Therapist), BLS (Basic Life Support) from AHA (American Heart Association) EDUCATION: Required: Bachelors - Physical Therapy
