Position Details

  • Conduct in-depth evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients using both standardized assessments and observational methods.
  • Create customized treatment plans focusing on immediate objectives as well as long-term communication or swallowing assistance.
  • Deliver specialized speech therapy tailored to improve communication, language proficiency, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing functions.
  • Engage in a collaborative approach with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, families, and caregivers to design effective care strategies.
  • Provide insights and education to patients and families, empowering them to enhance progress beyond therapy sessions.
  • Contribute to occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout treatment.
  • Uphold precise and prompt documentation compliant with all relevant guidelines and regulations.
  • Remain up-to-date with industry advances through continuous education and collaborative opportunities with peers.

Qualifications

  • A Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Successful completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • BLS certification is required within 30 days of starting the position.
