Description

- Create individualized treatment plans that cater to immediate goals while addressing long-term communication, cognitive, and swallowing needs.
- Administer one-on-one speech therapy aimed at enhancing communication, language skills, fluency, voice quality, and swallowing capabilities.
- Collaborate seamlessly with fellow healthcare professionals including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to forge integrated care approaches.
- Provide education and resources to patients and their families, empowering them to reinforce progress beyond clinical settings.
- Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure holistic care throughout the treatment experience.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation following local, federal, and organizational protocols.
- Keep up-to-date with advancements in the field through continuous learning and coworker collaboration.
Education
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required if not certified by ASHA.
Certifications
- Required state licensure for Speech Language Pathologist .
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
