Description

  • Conduct thorough evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics through a blend of standardized assessments and keen observational skills.
  • Create tailored treatment strategies that cater to immediate goals while addressing ongoing communication, cognitive, and swallowing needs.
  • Deliver focused, one-on-one speech therapy sessions targeting language proficiency, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing mechanics.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, and family members, to ensure cohesive patient care.
  • Provide vital education to families, enabling them to support their loved ones progress beyond clinical settings.
  • Occasionally assist with inpatient evaluations and therapy measures to maintain a seamless continuum of care.
  • Accurately document patient progress and interventions in compliance with established guidelines and regulations.
  • Engage in continuous learning by staying updated with the latest developments in speech-language pathology.

Education

  • A Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) in pursuit of ASHA certification if not yet obtained.

Certifications

  • Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) highly preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days post-employment.
