Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A healthcare-focused Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with expertise in pediatrics is sought for a full contract during the current school year at a K-12 educational setting in Cicero, IL. This opportunity involves working with children across various grade levels, providing critical speech and language therapy services to support their communication development in an academic environment. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify communication disorders. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's specific needs. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care. Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes in compliance with school and healthcare regulations. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) development. Provide ongoing support and training to staff and families to promote communication skills. Qualifications and Experience: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA is required. Experience working as an SLP in healthcare settings, preferably with pediatric populations. Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is preferred. Strong knowledge of pediatric speech and language disorders within a school context. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Location: Cicero, Illinois. Duration: Current school year (CSY) contract. This position is an excellent fit for an SLP looking to apply healthcare and pediatric speech therapy skills within a dynamic school environment.
