Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A Speech-Language Pathologist is needed for a contract position working 35 hours per week from August 11, 2025, through June 1, 2026, serving preschool-aged children (3 to 5 years old) at an early childhood school in Michigan City, IN. This role focuses on delivering specialized speech and language therapy services to support young learners' communication and developmental needs. Key Responsibilities: Plan and implement speech-language therapy, addressing assistive technology, augmentative communication, social language skills, articulation, voice, oral-motor function, feeding, and delays in receptive and expressive language Perform diagnostic and evaluation testing to identify students' needs Prepare clear, detailed reports based on assessments and observations Work with students with moderate to severe disabilities aged 2 to 22 years Develop and maintain Individualized Education Program (IEP) objectives Collaborate effectively with parents and staff to communicate student progress and intervention strategies Qualifications: Must hold or be eligible for an Indiana Professional License (IPLA) and a teacher's license from the Department of Education (IDOE) Preferably 1 to 2 years of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist, especially within school settings Strong communication and teamwork skills Flexibility and problem-solving ability in a dynamic environment Benefits: Competitive pay commensurate with experience Weekly pay schedule Medical, dental, and vision coverage Opportunity to collaborate with a dedicated team in a supportive educational environment This position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on children's communication skills in an early childhood setting.
