A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a contracted position at an elementary school serving PreK through 5th grade students. This role supports a caseload of approximately 50-55 children with a diverse range of speech and language disorders including articulation, fluency, language processing, and social communication challenges. The position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, team-based environment with strong support for contract staff and a school system that values investment in special education services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide assessment, diagnosis, and intervention for students with various speech and language disabilities
  • Develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and collaborate with teachers and families to implement targeted strategies
  • Support students in a school setting, ensuring services adhere to educational guidelines and standards
  • Maintain detailed documentation and progress reports
  • Deliver services both in person and via teletherapy as needed

Qualifications:

  • Active Washington State SLP license and Educational Staff Associate (ESA) certification required
  • Experience in school-based settings preferred, but motivated new graduates with strong clinical fellowship year (CFY) experience and school placements are encouraged to apply
  • Knowledge of a wide variety of speech and language disorders common in the pediatric population
  • Ability to work approximately 37.5 hours per week for the 2025/2026 school year
  • Flexibility to manage a caseload that includes PreK to 5th-grade students
