A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a contracted position at an elementary school serving PreK through 5th grade students. This role supports a caseload of approximately 50-55 children with a diverse range of speech and language disorders including articulation, fluency, language processing, and social communication challenges. The position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, team-based environment with strong support for contract staff and a school system that values investment in special education services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and intervention for students with various speech and language disabilities
- Develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and collaborate with teachers and families to implement targeted strategies
- Support students in a school setting, ensuring services adhere to educational guidelines and standards
- Maintain detailed documentation and progress reports
- Deliver services both in person and via teletherapy as needed
Qualifications:
- Active Washington State SLP license and Educational Staff Associate (ESA) certification required
- Experience in school-based settings preferred, but motivated new graduates with strong clinical fellowship year (CFY) experience and school placements are encouraged to apply
- Knowledge of a wide variety of speech and language disorders common in the pediatric population
- Ability to work approximately 37.5 hours per week for the 2025/2026 school year
- Flexibility to manage a caseload that includes PreK to 5th-grade students
