Description

  • Create tailored treatment plans focusing on immediate and extended communication, cognitive, and swallowing objectives.
  • Implement individualized speech therapy interventions concentrating on communication, language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing mechanics.
  • Collaborate closely with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, medical doctors, caregivers, and families to establish unified care approaches.
  • Provide educational resources to patients and families to promote progress beyond clinical interactions.
  • Perform occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and services, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout patient treatment.
  • Uphold meticulous and timely documentation as mandated by state, federal, and organizational regulations.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to stay abreast of advancements within the field.

Education

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

  • Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • ASHAs Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification needed within the first month of employment.
