This temporary position is located in Concord - Cabarrus County.
Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $34.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).
This temporary position will be assigned to the Department of Health and Human Services. This position is located at 1065 Vinehaven Dr. NE, Concord, NC 28025.
As a Speech Pathologist working with the Concord CDSA, this position is mandated to adhere to state and federal guidelines for the NC Infant-Toddler Program. This position is responsible for providing speech-language evaluations, as well as treatment and consultation to families and children enrolled in the program, if needed, due to a lack of providers or to meet required timelines for service delivery in all five catchment counties. The position may participate in eligible evaluations. This person must have a valid current license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in NC. Will be required to drive a state vehicle to perform the job and must have considerable knowledge and skills in the application of professional speech and language pathologist theory, techniques, principles, and procedures; the work unit and the unit policies and procedures; various communicative disorders peculiar to the group of client services; knowledge of and the ability to administer and interpret appropriate diagnostic tests to determine range, nature and/or degree of communication skills. General knowledge of the agency, institution goals, and treatment programs; of available referral sources. Ability to formulate, interpret, and implement therapeutic treatment. Will be asked to cover all five catchment counties.

- Ability to express oneself in oral and written form and to maintain client records and charts; to gain the confidence of clients, clients' families, peers, and para-professionals and to work effectively with them to gain cooperation for optimum results.
