Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations across pediatric, adult, and senior populations utilizing standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Craft tailored treatment plans that address immediate and ongoing communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions, concentrating on facets such as communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Collaborate effectively with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, family members, and caregivers to establish unified care strategies.
• Provide education to patients and families to enhance progress outside of therapy sessions.
• Occasionally assist with inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions to ensure a seamless continuum of care.
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation that adheres to state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
• Engage in continuous education and collaborate with peers to stay abreast of advances within the field.

Education

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if yet to receive ASHA certification.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
