Description

  • Conduct thorough evaluations for a diverse range of patients, utilizing standardized tools and keen observational skills.
  • Create tailored treatment plans focusing on both immediate and ongoing needs related to communication, cognition, or swallowing.
  • Deliver hands-on speech therapy interventions addressing language, fluency, voice, and swallowing issues.
  • Work seamlessly with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals including occupational therapists, physical therapists, physicians, and families to ensure cohesive care.
  • Provide educational support and resources for patients and families, enhancing therapeutic progress beyond the clinic.
  • Conduct occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy sessions as needed, to maintain seamless care throughout the patient's journey.
  • Regularly update accurate documentation per state and federal regulations and organizational standards.
  • Engage in ongoing education and collaboration to stay at the forefront of the evolving field.

Education

  • A Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
