Description

• Assess patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing standardized tests and keen observational strategies.
• Create customized treatment plans that tackle immediate goals while addressing long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
• Deliver personalized one-on-one therapy prioritizing speech, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing improvement.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, and family members to ensure a comprehensive care approach.
• Help educate patients and their families to foster progress beyond clinical settings.
• Engage in occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, providing seamless care throughout each patients recovery path.
• Maintain precise and timely patient documentation consistent with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Stay at the forefront of the field through ongoing education and collaborative learning with peers.

Education

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you have not yet received ASHA certification.

Certifications

• State license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) by ASHA.
• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within the initial 30 days of employment.
