Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract A Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) is sought to provide specialized support within a K-12 educational setting in Pottstown, PA. This contract position spans the full school year and offers the opportunity to positively impact the development and educational experience of students requiring occupational therapy services. Responsibilities: Collaborate with occupational therapists and educational staff to implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs. Assist students in achieving functional goals related to fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities within the classroom environment. Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school policies and regulations. Participate in team meetings and contribute insights to support student success and inclusion. Support adaptive equipment setup and recommend modifications to improve student access and participation. Qualifications: Certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) is required. Experience working with children or adolescents in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with students, educators, and families. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Knowledge of educational laws and guidelines related to occupational therapy services in schools is an asset.
