Description

  • Assess patients across various age groups including pediatrics, adults, and seniors, utilizing standardized evaluations and observational methods.
  • Create customized treatment roadmaps that address immediate goals as well as long-term communication, cognition, or swallowing requirements.
  • Deliver tailored speech therapy focused on communication, language fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques.
  • Engage collaboratively with physical, occupational, and other care specialists, as well as families, to establish comprehensive care methodologies.
  • Empower patients and families through education to encourage progress outside clinical environments.
  • Contribute to occasional inpatient assessments and interventions in speech therapy to ensure a seamless continuum of care.
  • Maintain precise and timely records that comply with state, federal, and institutional standards.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.

Education

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not already ASHA-certified.

Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be acquired within 30 days of joining.
