Description

• Assess patients of all ages utilizing recognized instruments and observational methods.
• Create individualized treatment strategies that respond to immediate needs and long-term communicative or swallowing goals.
• Implement personalized speech therapy techniques aimed at improving areas like language, fluency, and swallowing capabilities.
• Engage collaboratively with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, and families to ensure cohesive care management.
• Provide educational resources to patients and families to reinforce progress outside of therapy sessions.
• Support occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions to maintain a seamless care experience.
• Keep precise and timely records compliant with relevant regulations.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if certification through ASHA is pending.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
