As a Physical Therapist, you will support students in overcoming physical challenges that may impact their ability to access the educational environment. Qualifications
Doctorate or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
Valid Physical Therapy license in the state
Experience working with children in school or pediatric settings (preferred)
Knowledge of motor development, assistive devices, and accessibility modifications
Strong communication and documentation skills
Ability to collaborate with educators, administrators, and other service providers
Compassionate, adaptable, and student-focused approach
Responsibilities
Evaluate and assess students' gross motor, mobility, and physical functioning needs
Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with IEP goals
Provide direct physical therapy services to students in the school setting
Train staff and families on positioning, mobility strategies, and assistive equipment
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate, timely documentation
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary planning
