The primary responsibility of the Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) AAC Consultant will be to promote the Expression Series Speech Generating Device Platform to other SLPs, clinicians, evaluators, and decision makers.
Job Responsibilities:
- Customer engagement
- Clinical support
- Technical support
- Create, maintain, and grow AAC Social Media accounts
- Create and disseminate AAC content
- Create product information and content for the AAC website
- Attend national and state AAC/Assistive Technology conferences
- Assist with completing Funding Packets
- Assist with Mobile Device Management
- Sales
- Minimal travel (approximately twice a year)
- Strong interpersonal/rapport building
- Communicating clearly, both written and orally
- Detail-oriented
- Work cooperatively as member of a team
- Use Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Etc.
- Expert knowledge of current AAC applications
- Expert knowledge with iPads and the Apple iOS
- Experience with pediatric, autistic, and developmentally disabled clients
Education and Experience:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- At least 5 years of experience in evaluation and implementation of AAC
- At least 5 years of experience building a social media presence across multiple platforms
- Experience presenting to groups of professionals in small and large audiences (50+)
Physical Demands:
The employee may frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
