This opportunity is for experienced Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA) to provide essential services within a K-12 school district located in Yelm, WA. The contract positions are full-time, 37.5 hours per week, for the new school year with caseloads averaging around 60 students.
There are four positions available with options spanning multiple grade levels:
- Elementary level (Grades K-6), multiple openings
- Developmental preschool (ages 3-5, not kindergarten), with potential overlap with elementary caseload
- Secondary level (Grades 7-12 across two buildings)
Responsibilities include assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders in school-aged children. Practitioners will work collaboratively with educators, families, and support staff to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and deliver tailored interventions that support student success.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid Washington State SLP license
- Eligibility for ESA (Educational Staff Associate) certification
- Appropriate credentials for SLPA positions, where applicable
