A contract position is available for a skilled Occupational Therapist to support K-12 students in a school setting located in Mount Vernon, WA. This role focuses on enhancing students daily living and academic skills through individualized therapy plans and collaborative efforts with educators and families.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans tailored to student needs
- Implement therapeutic interventions to improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional independence
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to integrate therapy goals into the classroom environment
- Document progress and adjust plans based on student development and response
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to educational planning
Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license appropriate for the state of Washington
- Experience working with children in grades K-12 within a school setting
- Strong knowledge of pediatric developmental milestones and therapeutic techniques
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and documentation skills
