Job Summary

As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will contribute to patient care by identifying issues, providing recommendations, and executing therapy directives. You will document patient progress accurately and assist patients with exercises, functional activities, and the use of supportive devices.

Responsibilities
  • Support physical therapists by assessing patient health through interviews and physical examinations.
  • Administer manual and non-manual therapeutic exercises, encouraging patient participation in daily living activities.
  • Develop and implement patient management plans to ensure continuity of care.
  • Educate and counsel patients on therapeutic regimens, wellness, and health maintenance.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Education and Experience
  • Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program is required.
  • At least one year of experience in a physical therapy setting is preferred.
Licenses and Certifications
  • Current and unrestricted Physical Therapy Assistant License in the state of Washington.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification obtained within 90 days of hire.
Skills and Abilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills tailored to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare providers, patients, and team members.
  • Proficient in documentation and electronic medical records systems.
  • Capable of independent judgment, critical thinking, and prioritization in a dynamic environment.
  • Comfortable using current technology, including Microsoft Office.
Work Environment
