Local Contract Respiratory Therapist - $70-72 per hour

Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Respiratory Therapist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Local Contract WCS Healthcare is urgently seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a state-of-the-art healthcare system in Jersey City, NJ. Job Function : Night Shift. 3x12: 6:45pm - 7:15am. Reviews patient data, including admission and current respiratory care orders, medical history, physical exams, PFT values, ABG results, and laboratory data. Sets up and maintains respiratory equipment as instructed. Performs patient assessments to monitor therapy effects and documents findings in the patient chart. Conducts prescribed therapeutic procedures to ensure adequate oxygenation and airway maintenance, including humidification. Obtains and analyzes ABGs as ordered, following department protocols such as weaning, ventilator monitoring, and cuff pressure monitoring. Job Requirements : 2 years of clinical experience. RRT Respiratory Therapist license. National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) Registry. BLS and ACLS certification required.
