Speech Pathologist

Speech Pathologist (Part-Time)* *Position:* Contractual 1099 *Schedule:* Monday-Friday 8am-4pm (Flexible) *Duration:* September 1, 2024 - August 31, 2025 *Degree Required:* Bachelor's Degree in Speech Pathology *Experience:* Minimum 5 years *Compensation:* Negotiable *Responsibilities:* * *Speech and Language Therapy Services:* * Provide therapy in accordance with each child's Individual Education Plan (IEP). * Work in conjunction with Head Start staff to deliver services. * *Collaborative Treatment Planning:* * Develop appropriate treatment plans tailored to individual communication challenges. * Establish long and short-term goals for inclusion in IEPs. * *Identification and Assessment:* * Identify children at risk for communication disorders. * Conduct diagnostic evaluations and assess communication skills. * *Service Delivery:* * Perform classroom-based services, small-group, and individual speech sessions. * Use an interdisciplinary approach to address communication needs. * *Family and Teacher Training:* * Train, communicate, and educate families and teachers about communication disorders. * Develop activities and strategies for treatment and instruct special needs assistants and teachers. * *Coordination:* * Coordinate therapy services with the disability specialist. *Key Skills and Abilities:* * Strong collaborative skills to work with Head Start staff and families. * Ability to develop individualized treatment plans and goals. * Proficiency in conducting diagnostic evaluations. * Experience in classroom-based and individual therapy sessions. * Strong communication skills for training and educating families and teachers.
