Timberlyn Heights provides neuro-rehabilitative services to individualswith acquired brain injury, traumatic brain injury, and/or a number ofother neurological/organic conditions. The specialized servicesavailable in Timberlyn\'s Neurobehavioral Rehabilitation program includeneurological, neuro-rehabilitative, and neuro-psychiatric services, aswell as intensive behavioral management and treatment services necessaryto promote recovery, improved quality of life, and, if possible,transfer to a less restrictive, community-based setting. **JobSummary:** An Occupational Therapist (OT) assists individuals indeveloping, recovering, or maintaining skills needed for daily livingand working. OTs assess patients\' physical, emotional, social, andcognitive needs, and create personalized treatment plans to help themachieve greater independence and quality of life. They work withindividuals of all ages, from children to the elderly, in varioussettings such as hospitals, schools, rehabilitation centers, and nursinghomes. **Key Responsibilities:** 1. Assessment & Evaluation: - Conductthorough assessments of patients\' physical, emotional, and cognitiveabilities. - Review medical histories and assess the patient\'s dailyactivities and environment. - Develop a treatment plan based onevaluation results and patient goals. 2. Treatment Planning plementation: - Design and implement individualized treatment plans toimprove daily living skills and mobility. - Provide therapeuticexercises, techniques, and strategies to help patients recover or managetheir conditions. - Utilize adaptive equipment or techniques to promotepatient independence. 3. Patient Education: - Educate patients andfamilies about treatment plans, goals, and progress. - Instruct patientson exercises or activities that can be done at home to supportrehabilitation. 4. Collaboration: - Work closely with other healthcareprofessionals, such as physical therapists, doctors, and speechtherapists, to ensure comprehensive patient care. - Communicate withhealthcare team members to monitor patient progress and make adjustmentsto treatment plans as needed. 5. Documentation & Reporting: - Maintainaccurate and detailed patient records, including progress notes,treatment plans, and outcomes. - Ensure compliance with healthcareregulations and organizational standards for patient documentation. 6.Therapeutic Support: - Assist patients in performing daily activitiessuch as dressing, bathing, cooking, and using transportation. -Recommend and train patients to use assistive devices, like wheelchairsor handrails. 7. Professional Development: - Stay current with newtreatments, technologies, and best practices in the field ofoccupational therapy. - Attend workshops, conferences, and otherprofessional development opportunities. **Qualifications:** -Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Occupational Therapy. - Valid statelicensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist. - Strongknowledge of rehabilitation techniques and therapeutic interventions. -Ability to assess and develop tailored treatment plans for patients withdiverse needs. - Strong communication skills to collaborate withpatients, families, and the healthcare team. - Empathy, patience, andunderstanding to work with individuals of varying backgrounds andconditions. **Preferred Skills:** - Experience working in specificsettings (e.g., pediatrics, geriatrics, mental health, orrehabilitation). - Proficiency in using adaptive equipment and assistivetechnologies. - Experience with case management and multidisciplinarycare coordination. **Work Environment:** - Physical demands may includelifting or assisting patients and setting up therapeutic activities.[For additional information and to apply clickhere!]("blank"rel="noopener noreferrer"}
