Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Acute Care Rehab - Temporary Assignment

Pay: $60/hour flat rate Job Summary: To perform a wide variety of Speech Therapy evaluations and procedures in the care and treatment of patients. Qualifications: Master's degree from a recognized college or university majoring in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders or Speech and Hearing Science. North Carolina state license required. One year of speech therapy experience required in the acute care setting. One year of travel experience preferred. Cannot be a Full-time or Part-time CaroMont employee. Considerable knowledge of speech and swallowing terminology, procedures, and techniques. Thorough skill and clinical judgement in performing speech therapy procedures, including bedside swallow evaluations and treatment. Specialized skills in performing and interpreting modified barium swallow studies (MBSS) and fiberoptic endoscopic evaluation of swallowing (FEES) required. Demonstrates effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams that aligns with CaroMont's cultural values.
