Speech Pathologist - Pool

PURPOSE OF JOB: To provide speech therapy services to patients throughout the lifespan. Upon referral from a physician, the speech therapist will consult, educate and engage in critical inquiry and administrate care. They interact and practice in collaboration with other healthcare professionals to provide skilled speech services in order to improve the patient's speech, language, voice, oropharyngeal swallow and cognitive-communication functioning. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Performs accurate assessment (speech, language, voice, oropharyngeal swallow and cognitive-communication functioning), plans appropriate/functional treatment goals and provides therapeutic interventions to maximize patient outcomes. Maintain thorough/accurate/timely patient documentation and billing records. Consistently meet department productivity standards, while providing care that maximizes patient outcomes. Job Qualifications: V. QUALIFICATIONS: A. Education: Masters Degree from a speech pathology curriculum recognized by the American Speech-Hearing-Language Association (ASHA). B. Experience: Current Pennsylvania license in Speech/Language Pathology Current CCC-SLP (Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech/Language Pathology by the American Speech-Hearing-Language Association (ASHA) For pool therapist, previous work experience as a speech therapist is necessary C. Other Skills: Must possess the ability to work independently and in a team. Must possess the ability to problem solve and demonstrate good Judgment If assigned to an off-site location: Current drivers' license and auto insurance. Ability to drive a car in inclement weather. Certified in CPR/BLS.
