Pediatric Speech Therapist in Plainfield, IL

This part-time position focuses on addressing the diverse needs of students in grades 9-12, ensuring that each individual receives the guidance and resources necessary for their communication development.

Qualifications:

• Certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a focus on pediatric populations
• Experience in teletherapy practices is advantageous
• Familiarity with educational settings, particularly K-12 schools
• Strong assessment and intervention skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and support staff
• Knowledge of various speech and language disorders and treatment strategies

Location:

• Plainfield, IL

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students speech and language needs
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students on your caseload
• Provide direct therapy services to a diverse group of 30 students, fostering communication skills
• Collaborate with teachers and other staff to integrate speech and language goals into the classroom
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and therapy outcomes
• Engage in regular communication with families regarding student development and strategies for support
