Position Title: Rehab Technician - Adult Rehab Services - OUMC - PRN Department: Adult Rehab Services Job Description:

General Description:

Under immediate supervision of a therapist, assists in carrying out treatment plan designed by therapist and prescribed by a physician.

Essential Responsibilities:

Responsibilities listed in this section are core to the position. Inability to perform these responsibilities with or without an accommodation may result in disqualification from the position.

  • Assists therapist in administering treatments such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, hot and/or cold packs, supervised exercise, etc.
  • Assists with motorized traction to relieve neck and back pain.
  • Assists therapist with patient transfers, exercise, walking, etc.
  • Prepares the treatment area by restocking supplies and linens, draining, and cleaning the whirlpool, setting up treatment trays, etc.
  • Performs clerical duties such as pulling and filing patient charts.

General Responsibilities:

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or GED.

Experience: 0-3 years of experience.

Licensure/Certifications/Registrations Required: Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) required upon hire.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Good interpersonal skills for working with patients and staff.
  • Basic reading, writing and math skills,
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office tools.
