Position functions as the consultant specializing in direct customer services. This position is to provide occupational therapy (OT) consultative services for a variety of internal and external customers and stakeholders. The position will also serve as a specialized consultant with advanced experience and knowledge in customer evaluation and intervention techniques for individuals with disabilities (IWDs), businesses, and community organizations. This position requires consultations, assessments (virtual and onsite), and research, including but not limited to identifying recommendations, providing resources, and customized training.
Assessments are performed in the areas of disability management, reasonable accommodation, assistive technology, ergonomics, activities of daily living, and/or other related architectural or vocational barriers. This position also provides consultation and advisement on job analysis, safety/prevention, return-to-work issues; and education as well as provides technical assistance for employers, employees, and insurance companies regarding these issues in both the public and private workforce sector.There is a possibility of a remote/hybrid schedule based on performance and operational need. However, all work must be performed in Michigan. If you currently reside outside of Michigan, you must relocate to Michigan to perform the duties of this position.

Education
Possession of a master's degree with a major in public administration, business administration, management, human resources, rehabilitation counseling, guidance and counseling, special education, social work, psychology, occupational therapy, speech therapy, or physical therapy.
Experience
Rehabilitation Consultant 12
Four years of professional experience providing rehabilitation services to individuals with disabilities equivalent to a Rehabilitation Counselor, including two years equivalent to a Rehabilitation Counselor P11 or one year equivalent to a Rehabilitation Consultant P11 or Rehabilitation Counselor 12.
