of Theraputic Services is responsible for the organization and
management of the Neurorehabilitation Program, with the exception of
Nursing and Medical aspects of the Program. Works together with the
Director of Nursing Services to assure the integrity of the Program.
Develops, reviews and revises neurorehabilitation policies and
procedures governing admissions, personnel, standards of care, quality
assurance and program evaluation. Reviews referrals for admission as
part of the Admissions Team. Directs all special care non-nursing and
non-medical services for the Program including Mental Health Services,
Therapeutic Activities, Vocational Rehabilitation, Educational Programs,
and other specialized consultant services. Prepares progress reports on
Program residents for funding sources. Interviews, selects, hires,
evaluates, and terminates Program personnel in consultation with the
Administrator. Writes Program job descriptions and assignments for all
Program personnel. Assures Program compliance with state, federal, and
voluntary agency standards and regulations, as well as with the ethical
standards of both the professional community and the community at large.
Monitors the treatment planning process and the implementation of
treatment plans in conjunction with the Director of Nursing Services to
insure quality care. Represents the Program to the Resident Council, the
professional community, the community at large, and state, federal, and
voluntary accrediting agencies. Represents the Program by conducting
tours and developing marketing materials. Plans for future program
growth and development in coordination with the Administrator, the
Director of Nursing, and other department heads. Assures opportunities
for staff growth and development and insures the maintenance of high
professional standards. Evaluates the effectiveness and cost efficiency
of the Program. Completion of a Master\'s degree in a relevant clinical
or administrative field and three years experience in a relevant field,
including one year of supervisory and/or administrative experience, is
preferred. A minimum of a Bachelor\'s degree in a relevant clinical or
administrative field and five years experience in a relevant field,
including two years of supervisory and/or administrative experience,
will be considered.
