ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conducts appropriate evaluation, assesses home environment as appropriate, identifies equipment needs relative to speech/language function.
- Identifies functional speech defects and establishes a plan of care to improve patients function.
- Administers speech therapy program utilizing specialized therapeutic technique and/ or equipment.
- Recommends communication devices and aids as indicated.
- Confers with referring physician and other organization personnel to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care contributes to the total plan of care.
- Participates in case conferences, Inservice and other meetings required to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
- Prepares and submits notes per organization policy.
- Maintains clinical competency in speech-language pathology practice and theory.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Required Degree: Bachelors Degree in Speech Language Pathology
- Preferred Degree: Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology
- Certificate(s): CPR Certification, if required by State and Certification of clinical competence in speech language pathology granted by the American speech language hearing association (ASHA).
- Experience: 1+ Years
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
- Ability to listen to, monitor and observe patient speech patterns to develop treatment plans.
- Strong time management, attention to detail, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to interact with patients, their families and healthcare professionals
Compensation Pay Range:
$38.17 - $48.10Reasonable Pay Estimate
A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this position is $38.17 - $48.10. There are numerous factors taken into consideration in determining the actual offered rate of pay, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, experience, skills, education, geographic location, and consideration of internal and external equity.For full time employees, we offer a generous benefits package that includes:
