Full Time Wage DOE: $30-$40/hour Description We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our dynamic team at Colonial Vista Post Acute. As a COTA, you will play a crucial role in assisting licensed occupational therapists in providing high-quality therapy services to individuals with various physical challenges. In this role, you will work closely with residents to help them achieve their goals, promote independence, and facilitate recovery. Responsibilities: Assist occupational therapists in implementing treatment plans and therapy sessions. Perform therapeutic exercises and activities as prescribed by the occupational therapist. Monitor residents progress and document improvements and concerns accurately. Educate residents and their families about therapeutic techniques and exercises they can perform at home. Facilitate group therapy sessions to encourage socialization and peer support among clients. Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering to health and safety protocols. Participate in team meetings and contribute to the planning and evaluation of therapy programs. Requirements Valid COTA certification and state licensure. Strong knowledge of occupational therapy principles and practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment. Demonstrated empathy and patience in dealing with clients of diverse backgrounds. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Willingness to engage in continuous professional development and training.
