SSM Health Rehabilitation Network is seeking a Licensed and ASHA Certified Clinically Competent Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at St. Mary's Health Center in Richmond Heights, MO -- Acute Therapy!

SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital - St. Louis is a two-time winner of the Premier Award for Quality. Centrally located in metro St. Louis, we provide exceptional care to all our patients and are a Level II Time Critical Diagnosis STEMI Center. We specialize in high-risk pregnancy care and fetal surgery. Plus, our chest pain center, certified stroke center, and imaging and outpatient services ensure youre well taken care of in any situation

We are looking for candidates with a minimum of one year of experience in ( acute care or inpatient rehab ).

CFY candidates will not be accepted for this position.

Responsibilities

Evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements and modifies treatment plan in accordance with the patients need and physician direction

Responsible for delegation and direction of all discipline specific therapy services for those assigned patients

Ensures design of functional treatment programs allowing for effective return to community activities

Serves as an educator of patients, families, students, coworkers and self

Performs other professional duties associated with the care of the patient, development of discipline specific therapy services and design of program delivery

Qualifications
  • Current state llicense or eligibility for state license as a Speech Language Pathologist
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language & Hearing Association or eligibility for Certification pending professional experience required.
  • Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.
  • Experience performing Modified Barium Swallows (MBS) and Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallow (FEES) independently
  • Minimum of two years of experience in ( acute care or inpatient rehab )
