School-Based Speech Therapist Opportunity Full-Time Role Rockford, IL

A school district in Rockford, Illinois is currently hiring a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support K12 students with a wide range of communication needs. This onsite position offers a collaborative environment and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in students academic and social growth.

Position Overview:
The SLP will assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, and communication disorders. Youll work closely with other educators and service providers to ensure each students therapy aligns with their educational goals.

Key Duties:

• Provide speech-language therapy based on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

• Conduct evaluations using standardized tools and create detailed reports

• Participate in team meetings and contribute to IEP development

• Document services, progress, and compliance records in a timely manner

• Consult with teachers and parents to support communication carryover

• Promote functional communication skills in classroom and peer settings

Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology

• Valid Illinois SLP teaching license through ISBE

• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)

• School-based experience preferred

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
