Associate Respiratory Care Practitioner - PAMC Respiratory Therapy

Under supervision the Respiratory Therapist provides services to patients in the NICU/PICU as prescribed by Physicians/NNPs in conjunction with established policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines. She/He is responsible for the assessing the patient's respiratory status and recommending appropriate therapies. She/He implements therapies and evaluates patient response to therapeutic interventions. The Respiratory Therapist accepts and promotes professional development as an integral part of practice. She/He will assess, analyze, customize, coordinate and communicate the patient's plan of care and actively collaborate with other members of the health care team.

**Hours: Per Diem, 0.01 FTE, Variable Shift, 12-36 hours per week**

**Required:**

+ Required upon hire: National Registered Respiratory Therapist - National Board for Respiratory Care; **Or**

+ National Certified Respiratory Therapist - National Board for Respiratory Care

+ Required upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

**Preferred:**

+ Associate's Degree in Respiratory Care.

+ One (1) year of experience in a NICU/PICU as Respiratory Therapist.
