A dynamic opportunity is available for a certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students grades 6-12 in a K-12 academic setting located in Valparaiso, Indiana. This contract position spans the 2025-2026 school year, with a start date of August 8, 2025, and an end date of May 29, 2026. You will be working onsite across two neighboring schools, serving a caseload of approximately 58 students, primarily within specialized classrooms.
Key Qualifications:
- Certified Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP).
- Experience in pediatric and school-based speech-language pathology.
- Proficient in delivering teletherapy services is a plus, though the primary role is onsite.
- Contract position suitable for experienced SLPs; SLPA or Clinical Fellowship Year candidates are not considered for this role.
- Demonstrated ability to work with grades 6-12 student populations.
- Strong organizational and communication skills for collaboration within a school setting.
Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized speech and language therapy to students in specialized classrooms.
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
- Monitor and document student progress in compliance with school policies.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to student success plans.
- Maintain professional standards and adherence to ethical guidelines.
Work Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 7:15 AM to 2:55 PM.
- Onsite presence required at both school locations.
