Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A contract Speech-Language Pathologist opportunity is available at an elementary school campus in Hazleton, PA, covering a leave from September 10, 2025, through January 15, 2026. This role requires a dedicated professional to provide speech-language services five days per week, working either 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. or 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with a half-hour unpaid lunch break. The caseload includes approximately 55 students in grades K-6 at the elementary building and 10 ninth-grade students at the high school building, all on the same campus. Students served present with a variety of needs including Autism, Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD), Other Health Impairments (OHI), Emotional Disturbance (ED), and Intellectual Disabilities (ID). Key responsibilities: Conduct speech and language assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide direct therapy services to a diverse student population. Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student communication goals. Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with state and federal regulations. Adapt teletherapy methods as needed to ensure continuous student support. Qualifications: CCC-SLP credential with a license to practice in Pennsylvania. Experience working with pediatric populations in educational or healthcare settings. Ability to manage a caseload involving various communication disorders. Strong skills in teletherapy delivery and documentation. Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred or newly licensed applicants considered.
