Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) - Full-Time School-Based 2025-2026 School Year

Job Summary:

VerbaCare Inc is hiring California-licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) to provide school-based speech therapy support to students in grades K-12 throughout Contra Costa County for the 2025-26 school year. This position offers the opportunity to work directly with students under the supervision of credentialed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs), helping students with communication disorders reach their full potential.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and small-group speech therapy services under the direction and supervision of a licensed SLP
• Support students with articulation, expressive/receptive language, fluency, voice, and pragmatic/social communication
• Prepare therapy materials, schedule sessions, and assist in IEP documentation
• Collect data on student performance and assist in progress monitoring
• Use school-based systems such as SEIS, SIRAS, or district-specific platforms (training provided)
• Collaborate with special education staff, general education teachers, school psychologists, and families
• Maintain accurate records in compliance with HIPAA, and district policies
• Support inclusive practices and equitable education for students with diverse needs

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate degree or certificate from a CAA-accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program
• Current California SLPA license (or eligibility to obtain license by start date)
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Willingness to work in public or charter school settings
• Experience with IEPs, data collection, and school documentation systems preferred, but not required
