Occupational Therapist (OT) - Full-Time School-Based 2025-2026 School Year

VerbaCare Inc is hiring California-licensed Occupational Therapists (OTs) to provide school-based OT services to students in grades K-12 across Santa Clara County, including San Jose, Gilroy, and Morgan Hill.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments, including sensory-motor evaluations and functional skill observations
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals based on student needs (fine motor, sensory integration, self-care/ADLs)
• Provide direct OT services (individual and small group) in school settings
• Consult with teachers, special education staff, school psychologists, and families to promote access to curriculum and participation
• Document services, evaluations, and student progress in systems like SEIS or SIRAS
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team planning
• Recommend adaptive equipment, classroom modifications, and assistive technology to support student independence
• Maintain compliance with California Education Code, and district guidelines

Required Qualifications:

• Master's or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
• Current and valid California OT license
• Strong interest or experience in school-based OT, pediatric therapy, or special education
• Familiarity with the IEP process, California school systems, and legal compliance (IDEA)
• Excellent collaboration, time management, and communication skills
