Position Overview

As a Mental Health Therapist or Counselor, you will deliver trauma-informed individual therapy services in a primary care clinical setting. You'll work closely with an integrated care team to coordinate behavioral health services that support lasting wellness outcomes for patients of all ages.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide trauma-focused, trauma-informed, or trauma therapy in a clinical setting
  • Deliver ADHD assessments and evidence-based treatment plans
  • Collaborate with medical and behavioral health providers as part of a multidisciplinary care team
  • Offer patient education and appropriate community referrals
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance clinical skills

Qualifications

  • Master's degree from an accredited behavioral/mental health program
  • Active, unrestricted license in Michigan (LMSW, LLMSW, LPC, LLPC, LLP or equivalent)
  • CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) certification in good standing preferred
  • Strong background in mental health diagnosis and treatment planning
  • Experience working with children and families in a clinical setting preferred
  • Professional, collaborative communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
  • Commitment to working with diverse populations in a culturally sensitive manner
