School Occupational Therapist - Waukegan, Illinois

This position is for a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide specialized services within an elementary school setting serving students from Kindergarten to 2nd grade. The role involves managing a focused K2 caseload and includes supervisory responsibilities for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy evaluations and interventions tailored to the developmental needs of K2 students.
• Design and implement IEP goals in collaboration with educators and families.
• Supervise and mentor a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to ensure quality service delivery.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation related to student progress and therapy services.
• Collaborate with school staff to support inclusive educational practices.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current and active Occupational Therapist license, with Louisiana OT licensure preferred or eligibility to obtain Illinois licensure.
• Experience working with early elementary-aged children (K2) in a school-based setting.
• Proven ability to supervise and collaborate effectively with COTAs.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
