In this role you will be:
- Assessing the status of patients.
- Planning, implementing, evaluating, monitoring, and documenting respiratory interventions.
- Exercising broad and independent judgment in association with established protocols to make recommendations to nursing and medical staff.
- Using excellent interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and members of the IRMC organization.
- Utilizing sound clinical judgment skills in an independent environment.
- Following established protocols and procedures as well as making independent decision-making.
- Conveying directions and interacting with patients of differing age-specific needs.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
EDUCATION:
Graduate of an AMA/JRCRCE accredited school for respiratory care
AS or BS in respiratory care
EXPERIENCE:
6-12 months experience on this job or related jobs strongly preferred
1-year critical care experience preferred
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
BLS required or obtained within 1 month of hire
ACLS preferred
Current RCP license in Pennsylvania including evidence of certification on bi-annual basis
Credentialed as registered respiratory therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) required or obtained within 6 months of hire
NOTE: if you were credentialed by the NBRC on or after July 1, 2002, you must participate in the continuing competency program to maintain your NBRC credentials. Credentials awarded prior are not subject to this program.
