The Children's Home of Pittsburgh is seeking a Part-Time Licensed Mental Health Counselor . We are currently looking for a dynamic therapist, passionate about working with a range of clients served through all of our programs. The Licensed Mental Health Counselor will be able to work as part of a counseling team and supported through regular counseling treatment team meetings and supervision. This position serves both in person and telehealth clients. This counselor will treat adult clients in areas including but not limited to infertility, perinatal mental health, parenting a child with medical and/or developmental needs, parenting concerns, and individuals experiencing grief and loss or life stressors. This part-time position work 20 hours per week (40 hours per pay period). Experience working with adults coping with grief, loss, infertility, parenting, adjustment to a child's medical diagnosis and/or experience treating in a primary care or hospital-based setting preferred. Must have LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent or have an LSW or LAPC and be within one year of obtaining full clinical licensure. Supervision hours towards licensure can be provided. Must practice from a trauma informed lens. Open to new professionals! Requirements Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field, required. Current, active, PA clinical license (LPC or LCSW) or licensure (LSW, LAPC) with ability to obtain clinical licensure within first year of hire required. Minimum of one year experience in clinical work with adults required. Strong knowledge of mental health conditions and evidence based therapeutic interventions for treatment required. Strong knowledge of the impact of trauma and trauma informed interventions required. Strong ability to build rapport with and communicate with all clients, regardless of age, preferred gender, sexual orientation, or other belief systems required. Experience working with adults coping with grief, loss, infertility, parenting, adjustment to a child's medical diagnosis and/or experience treating in a primary care or hospital-based setting preferred.
