A K-12 school in Allentown, PA is seeking an experienced speech therapist to provide onsite support for one of their students. This contract position offers the opportunity to work directly with a student twice weekly, delivering targeted speech therapy sessions while also participating in collaborative team meetings to support student progress.
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech therapy services for one student, conducting two one-hour sessions per week onsite
- Participate in monthly team meetings via Zoom, approximately 90 minutes in length
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized therapy plans
- Monitor student progress and maintain detailed documentation of interventions and outcomes
- Adhere to school policies and ensure a supportive learning environment
Qualifications:
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience working with pediatric populations in educational or healthcare settings
- Familiarity with school-based speech therapy service models and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred or equivalent experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with the school team
