SLP Opportunity Help Paterson Students Develop Communication Skills

Paterson Public School District is actively hiring a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join their collaborative student services team. This role is perfect for clinicians passionate about helping students build the speech and language skills essential for success.

Position Summary:
As a school-based SLP, you will evaluate students, create individualized therapy plans, and deliver interventions that improve communication and participation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct speech and language assessments and draft clear reports

• Develop treatment plans aligned with IEP objectives

• Provide therapy addressing articulation, fluency, receptive/expressive language, and pragmatics

• Consult with teachers, administrators, and families

• Attend IEP meetings and contribute to progress monitoring

• Maintain compliant documentation for all services provided

Required Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology

• Active New Jersey SLP License

• NJ DOE Speech-Language Specialist Certification

• ASHA CCC preferred

• Prior experience in schools or pediatrics preferred

• Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills

Job Details:

• Type: Full-time, onsite

• Schedule: MondayFriday during school hours

• Caseload: K12 students (assignments vary by district)
