A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist position is available in an elementary school setting in the Janesville area, covering the school year from August 21, 2025, through June 10, 2026. This contract role requires providing speech and language services to students from early childhood through 5th grade.
The caseload includes students with mild to moderate speech and language disabilities. Responsibilities include conducting evaluations, providing therapy using a 3:1 minutes model, writing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and attending IEP meetings. SLPs will case manage only those students with speech and language as their primary disability. This role may be assigned at Roosevelt Elementary (52 students with SLP needs, shared caseload with a second SLP) or split between Wilson and Washington schools, assisting full-time SLPs with overage caseloads.
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Valid Wisconsin SLP license required
- Certification options accepted: SLP with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), or School SLP certification
- Experience serving elementary-aged students with speech and language needs preferred
- Ability to complete evaluations, manage IEP compliance, and collaborate in a school setting
- Flexibility for after-school meeting attendance
Work schedule is Monday-Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m., 40 hours per week, with some meetings potentially occurring outside of these hours.
