A K-12 educational institution in Huntsville, AL, seeks a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide comprehensive speech and language services for the 2025-2026 academic year. This full-time contract opportunity supports students across all grade levels in a collaborative school environment.
Qualifications:
- Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC), Speech-Language Pathology Clinical Fellowship Year (SLP-CFY), or certification/licensure as a School-Based SLP
- Experience delivering speech and language services within a K-12 setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders, assessment techniques, and intervention strategies
- Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and educational teams
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting speech and language assessments, developing individualized education plans (IEPs), and implementing therapy tailored to student needs
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
- Maintaining accurate documentation and compliance with educational and clinical standards
- Providing maternity leave coverage for the full duration of the 2025-2026 school year
