Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A K-12 school seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidate for a contract position in DeKalb, IL. This role supports students in developing essential skills to participate fully in classroom activities. Key Responsibilities: Support students' fine motor skills, visual-motor integration, sensory processing, and self-care abilities to promote inclusion with peers. Modify tasks or environments to accommodate individual student needs. Conduct diagnostic and evaluation testing as necessary. Prepare clear, comprehensive reports based on student assessments and observations. Develop and maintain IEP objectives and accommodations. Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues regarding student progress and support strategies. Qualifications: Must hold or be eligible for an Illinois state license for SLP. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate within a team. Flexibility and strong problem-solving skills are essential. Work Schedule and Duration: 37.5 hours per week; part-time considered. Orientation: August 4-5, 2025. First student interaction: August 11, 2025. Contract ends May 21, 2026.
